In this project, I created an artist-inspired poster using Illustrator tools and applying the principles of design. I was inspired by Julie Mehretu's abstract paintings, which often feature bold lines, shapes, and colors. I used a limited color palette of six colors to create an analogous color scheme. I also used the principles of movement and rhythm to create a dynamic and visually engaging poster. I learned how to use the basic shapes tool, direct selection tool, and curvature tool in Illustrator to create my poster. I also learned about the importance of using a limited color palette and the principles of movement and rhythm in creating effective designs.
